This past Sunday, our community was deeply shaken by the tragic events at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc. Lives were lost, and many families are grieving. Our hearts are with all those affected, and with the first responders and neighbors who stepped in to help.
At Owosso Martial Arts, we believe the dojang is more than a training space — it’s a safe place to grow, to learn, and to support one another. The same is true for churches, schools, and all the spaces where we gather as families and communities. When something so painful happens so close to home, it reminds us how important it is to stand together, to be kind, and to lift one another up.
In the days ahead, let us:
Hold space for those who are hurting.
Offer compassion instead of judgment.
Choose kindness in our words and actions.
At our next class, we will take a quiet moment of reflection to honor those impacted. We invite our students and families to join us in sending prayers, positive thoughts, or simple acts of kindness toward the Grand Blanc community.
Tragedy may test our spirits, but it does not define us. What defines us is how we respond — with courage, respect, and unity. May peace and comfort surround those who mourn, and may we each do our part to bring light to our community.

Tuesday & Wednesday we will be doing basic actions
Thursday & Friday we will be doing hyung
